After successfully completing on the property I was intrigued by estate agency and decided to apply for a job as a negotiator. I was interviewed and placed in the Chiswick office where I was coached and developed daily as a negotiator. Six months later I was awarded a place on Rising Stars (unique Barnard Marcus training course). I won the Rising Stars program and was quickly promoted to Residential Sales Manager of the Chiswick branch. I have never been excited to go to work until I joined Barnard Marcus. In addition, I feel that working closely with my managers has helped me to progress further than I could ever have imagined in a short space of time. Within weeks I made very close friends with a number of colleagues which I know I will treasure for a long time.
One of the main things I like about Barnard Marcus is the training that is offered and the chance to develop and grow within the company. "Following a stint as an agent in my hometown of Newmarket, I made a move to London in 2013 where I started my career with Barnard Marcus in Holland Park. I progressed with a wealth of training and support over to a high-income branch in Bedford Park where I continued to reach my targets. Then selected to be involved in a fantastic opportunity of the ‘Rising Stars Programme’ which encompasses supportive career progression and industry knowledge. Having completed the programme and putting in a considerable amount of hard work that generated results, I expressed my desire to manage my branch and was given the opportunity to head up a brand new office in Chiswick. This was a big challenge for me as a new Manager, given a branch with no existing clients. However, with the support from both the company and my colleagues, we managed to make Chiswick the most successful cold start in the history of the company.
At Barnard Marcus, you get out what you put in, and you can influence how successful you would like to be. I have found everyone within the company extremely friendly and welcoming from day one. As an experienced manager I was promised the opportunity to move to a larger, flagship branch, subject to performing well.
